Salary Packaging
MADEC is a not-for-profit organization and currently enjoys Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) status1 with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). Therefore, MADEC is able to offer attractive salary packaging to its employees. Salary Packaging enables you to allocate a portion of your pre-tax income to pay for approved expenses. This reduces the amount of tax you pay and increases your take home pay.
Who is eligible?
Salary Packaging is available to permanent full time, part time, and fixed term employees. Salary Packaging is not available to casual employees.
This entitles our permanent employees to “package” up to $16,050 gross per annum of their Base Annual Salary (BAS) into tax-free salary and benefits.
This information is a guide only. It is strongly recommended that you seek independent advice from an accountant or financial advisor.
How does it work?
MADEC’s salary packaging is administered by AccessPay (www.accesspay.com.au).
How much can I package?
Eligible employees are able to package up to $16,050 per annum of their gross salary annually. The amount is tax free and equates to $617.29 per fortnight.
